Spot on October!
There was a small moment in time when I actually thought of leaving my beloved island for Florida . Hey let’s face it, with cheaper living, taxes and a more relaxed, carefree lifestyle…it was tempting. My Florida fantasy faded as I remembered the one thing that will always keep me here…the weather. Long Island has the best seasonal weather north of Jersey. When it changes, we change. The fall weather brings out the gatherers. From the pumpkin pickers, to the funny looking kids dressed in plastic costumes, autumn has it all.
My first gathering of the season will be at the The Hamptons Film Festival. From October 8th through the 12th the Hamptons will play host to top movie stars, directors and their films. This year the festival will honor iconic actress Sharon Stone with their annual Outstanding Achievement in Acting Award. This will be an event to remember.
