WRCN’s island ROCK IDOL finale at the boulton center

103.9 RCN’s final three Island Rock Idol contestants take the stage to crown the first Island Rock Idol.

Medford, New York, April 27th, 2010- The top three contestants in RCN’s Island Rock Idol presented by Island Federal Credit Union were chosen!  Congratulations to:

These three talented musical acts are what remain of hundreds of band entries!  Now, these three bands will perform live, along with Double D’s band Jett Black Heart Attack, on the Tommy’s Place stage at the Boulton Center on West Main Street in Sayville on Thursday, May 6^th at 7pm.

With the help of the RCN audience, one will be crowned the first Island Rock Idol.  Listeners can check out music from our finalists on WRCN.com and hear exclusive interviews with the bands. Starting May 3^rd, RCN listeners can tune in to Dave and Glenn in the morning to hear new interviews with each of our final three contestants.

The winner of RCN’s Island Rock Idol presented by Island Federal Credit Union will receive prizes including time at Full Force Studio to record and master a professional album; a consultation with Jerry Lembo, founder of Jerry Lembo Entertainment; $2,000 for equipment, a record deal with Long Island’s Paradiddle Records, a chance to take the stage at the upcoming Great South Bay Music Festival, open this season of Live in the Lobby at the Patchogue Theatre and their single will be in rotation on WRCN.

The Grand Prize Winner will then be announced Wednesday, May 12^th on Dave and Glenn in the morning.
