Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra

July 14, 2010

Peace, Love, Revolution Coming to Stephen Talkhouse

Real Artist Management is thrilled to announce Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra will be hitting the stage at The Stephen Talkhouse on Friday, July 16th, at 10:00pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door or at StephenTalkhouse.com.

Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra, is a 12-piece Explosion of Righteousness, blending New Orleans party music, Secular Gospel, Soul and old-time Rock-n-Roll into a feel-good gumbo of love.  More than just a band, BroJo is a feast for the eyes and the ears that recreates Fat Tuesday of Mardi Gras every time they hit the stage.  The band dresses in its finest whites, and each show comes complete with a 2nd line parade through the crowd, bead throwing, and dancing with parasols.

Brother Joscephus himself is a native of Long Island and fronts this completely original act which is a legitimate rising star in the music world.  In the band’s short history (they formed in 2008), they have already gained enough of a following to sell out NYC’s Highline Ballroom and play preeminent NYC venues such as BB King’s, Brooklyn Bowl (1070 paid last time), and Sullivan Hall, sharing the stage with Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Bonerama, The Meters, The Radiators, and Eric Lindell.  Now the Revolution is spreading up and down the east coast with heralded performances from Harper’s Ferry in Boston and Discover Jazz Festival in VT, all the way down to Bele Chere in N.C., Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta, and Tipitina’s (FQ) in New Orleans.  Bro Jo also headlined the second stage at the Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue on Sunday, July 11.

BroJo released their self-titled debut album in February 2009, and their songs “I Won’t Be That Man” and “A Child Shall Lead” were selected as Finalists in the R&B and Gospel categories of the prestigious 2009 John Lennon Songwriting Competition.
